This online art course in small group setting (2-7 people est.) provides opportunities for self-motivated artists who are looking to advance their own creative skill set. Typically offered the final Thursday of the month 4-6 pm via Zoom... the first dates in 2024 are 1/25, 2/22, 3/22, 4/25, 5/23, & 6/27. Your advancement in artistic ability will be derived and developed in a few ways. Students will independently brain storm possible art projects and consult with the instructor in deciding personal artistic pursuit. This pursuit can be exploring a variety of topics from piece to piece or developing a thematic group of artworks. Therefore, this class is flexible from student to student and designed for artists with a variety of interests, skills, and/or abilities. The instructor will assist artists in developing ideas, research, considering resources, practicing specific applications, and building on acquired skills/experiences. Instructor demonstrations will be limited to occasional individual student needs. Finally, some additional consultation via private email can be utilized to further each student’s class experience. Ultimately, this is a great opportunity for artists who are seeking to advance in skill, while pursuing topics of personal creative interest(s), all while enjoying an inspirational group setting.
